Forcing entertainment upon you (Recommended)


Pros I've seen Forced Entertainment perform more than once and you can count on them to provide entertainment for sure. Described as 'one of the most influential new British theatre companies of the last 20 years' and according to their website they've moved on somewhat since their earliest days in Sheffield, now reviewed by The Times under national performance.

They don't do sweet, traditional scripts, FE are all about challenging the norm and frequently about challenging the audience to cope with the sights seen on stage. Not always pleasurable viewing.

FE maximise their profits by setting up an online shop selling texts of some obscure works, they also have CDs from performance.

Cons It can be an uncomfortable experience to watch FE, they don't always make the greatest sense either but frankly few theatre companies do these days.
