Fab computers at affordable prices (Recommended)

Pros Fab computers at fab prices. They seem to make really stylish systems now that look great, are very fast and high spec and better still, they are at very affordable prices, sometimes even better than the ones you can buy in Comet and Currys even when you take into account Dell’s delivery charges. Worth looking out for their weekly special offers like double memory or a hard drive upgrade because they will save you money. You also get to specify exactly what hardware etc you want them to put into the computer.

Dell online Shopping

Pros Dell offer wide range of laptops and pc for home users, business users and etc. They always have some offers going on the products, they sell at reasonable price. Product description is fairly detailed and its easy to make your own specification of the computer. The site is easy to use and loads fairly quickly too. It’s very easy to order an item and their shipment is fast and quick.

Cons I find that shopping for only components can be expensive sometimes in comparison to buying a pc or a laptop.

Two things that are annoying is the call you get when your order is being processed, they try and sell you something that you are not interested in. Secondly, their customer support is not very helpful, if you have warranty and have some problem with the computer, then you have to call technical support, which isn’t very friendly and helpful. Sometimes its frustrating when you can’t solve the problem and they don’t sent anybody out to look at your machine. So, technical support is not good based on my experiences.

Great Computers (Recommended)

Pros Of late, Dell have really bought their prices down to make them a very competitive contender in the ‘cut-throat’ computer market. Their products are really high spec and high quality with a reliability to match.

The good thing I found (and my main reason for going with them) is that you can specify exactly what you want in your computer and they will build it to your exact specifications.

I have bought 2 laptops from Dell and this was the only company that could provide me with an extra long life (6 hours +) battery in each one, and provide me with an additional long life battery for each one as well.

Most other companies seem to struggle to get 3 hours from a battery at best, and god forbid if you want a spare battery as well. No chance.

Look out for their sales/special offers which vary week to week (and change on a Thursday).
