Everything under one roof
(Recommended)
Pros
I come here for my weekly food shopping, and the majority of staff are very helpful - they will go out of their own way to help you find what you need. They stock nearly everything you need under one roof but what kind of supermarket doesn't? People working at the checkout counters are generally very helpful as well, they greet you with a smile and ask if you need help with your packing.
Cons
I remember one incident very well. It was an offer related with bananas - it was about 3.45pm on a Sunday and Tesco was about to close (4pm), the workers there put 2 bunches of bananas into one of those small transparent plastic bags and stuck a sticker saying 10p for them in an attempt to get rid of stock for the new coming week. Note that this was done in a very hasty manner. At the checkout, they were scanned through but on the screen they didn't come up as bananas they came up as something else. So the person behind the counter called a lady over (who probably had more power / authority) and she accused us of placing the two bananas into the bag and found a 10p sticker from another product and stuck it on. We said we didn't but she didn't believe us and bombarded us with 'you sure?' 'positive?' 'really sure?', we told her to go to the aisle with the bananas and have a look herself. She came back with rosy red cheeks and apologized.
