Yum yum (Recommended)

Pros I received a box of these for my birthday so when I saw the shop I had to have a look around. Lovely selection of fabulous chocs with well known flavours and some new ones too. Well set out with everything on view. I bought some small slabs with a friend as a present and by buying a few we were able to save a few pennies on one of their offers. We were able to try a couple of chocs as well as they had some for tasting.

Cons Expensive but good for a present.

Chocolate Heaven! (Recommended)

Pros I used to subscribe to Hotel Chocolat when they were a mail only company. That's right - you would order on the web, and the chocolates would arrive in the post. I would always beat my wife to the chocolates and be through most fhe box before she had a chance to get her hands on it. It caused some marital friction, but it was worth it.

Hotel Chocolat chocolates are simply outstanding. Its what chocolate should taste like, and beats the chocolates you can buy at Harrods by a mile. They taste like wax in comparison.

Cons None I can think of - except an expanding waist line.

Nice chocolates (Recommended)

Pros Just when I thought I had the Bullina, Thorntons chocolate debacle sorted out as to who was best, along came Hotel Chocolat and really put the cat amongst the pigeons.
I've got to admit that they do some really nice chocolates and everything is already packaged up so that you can buy it as a gift for someone. They also do have very diverse ranges from straight slabs of chocolates through to the Liquid Choc Kiss Mix which is rather tasty and there are also loads of different selection bags of chocolate gemstones and buttons.

Cons None given.

Great chocolate, slightly pricey (Recommended)

Pros A lovely specialist chocolate store. Often give out free samples if you go, and usually you get free samples with your purchases, which is great. The chocolates are very nicely wrapped so will make great gifts for anyone who likes chocolate. I especially love their chocolate slabs, which consist of a large chunk of chocolate with added extras such as nuts and dark chocolate swirls.

Cons Expensive, forexample a 12" square slab of chocolate can cost up to £10!

Yummy chocolates (Recommended)

Pros The Hotel Chocolat stores has a good selection of chocolates in different presentations: I like a lot the chocolate bars with different ingredients added, they are really tasty and visually very attractive.
They have a lot of gift sets composed of different products like chocolate bars, jams, chocolate pasta, chocolate liquors, etc.. always with chocolate!
Their products are really good for give as a present.

Cons The only disadvantage that I can think about is that price is expensive (but the products worth it).

Cons They can be very expensive but it is handy to look around for a discount/offer voucher first

REAL Chocolate! (Recommended)

Pros Simply delicious and oh so luxurious chocolate. Great to give as gifts as you can buy a variety of chocolates in gift wrapped boxes or choose your own from a wide selection.

If you want to just treat yourself to some yummyness, you can also get mini and large bars of chocolate - and it's not just any chocolate! My favourites are chilli & orange, caremellow, cookies and crostini and almond - and those are just a very few of what they offer.

Also, the staff have with them, all information you may need concerning ingredients and will be able to tell you if the chocolate is suitable for vegetarians and those who do not drink alcohol.

Cons Not cheap!!

Delicious and unusual chocolate supplier (Recommended)

Pros They sell delicious and varied chocolates - pretty upmarket but not as overpriced as other similar companies.

They sell small packs of 6 - 8 chocolates and have a huge range with lots to choose from and they are very tasty.

They also have a lot of boxes, selection packs, hot chocolates etc to choose from. I have also bought the slabs in the past which are very good and make great gifts for a group of people.

Some of their chocolate is fair-trade which is brilliant.

Also I don't like plain chocolate but they have a big choice of milk and white chocolates.

You often get free chocs while you are in store too!!

Cons You can end spending a fortune as isn't that cheap.

Can I sleep over? (Recommended)

Pros Hotel Chocolate is a fabulous store. The word ‘hotel’ in the store name kept me searching for the check in desk for a few months. Walking along the street, I really did think this was a hotel. By the time I reached the store and entered inside, I would be overcome by the wonderful chocolate products. I’d forget I was supposed to establish if there really was a hotel behind the rows of chocolate.

When I realised this was not a hotel I was slightly disappointed. The chocolate is so good - I wish I could check in for the night and proceed to eat my way through all the delicious chocolates until morning.

I love the special chocolate boxes created for seasonal occasions. My favourite product is the smiley faces. I love to give these to people for birthdays, special occasions, or to cheer a friend after a hard day / week. At the price of £1.40, it is also a bargain.

Cons Generally I steer away from the chocolate containing coffee, liquor and raspberry’s. The fist two ruin the flavour of the chocolate, and the raspberry seeds get stuck in my teeth. The delight in eating the raspberry chocolate is out-weighted by the hours of frustration the follow picking seeds from my teeth!
