Aldi (Recommended)

Pros Good are cheap, good selection of products, well presented, staff are efficient & friendly for the most part.

Cons sell battery eggs & intensely farmed poultry & pork.
fruit & veg can be a bit dilapidated sometimes.

Aldi, good for a top up shop (Recommended)

Pros This is a very handy store indeed

Its pretty much the same as every other aldi store you go in to, what you see is what you get. Lots of varieties of goods, no fancy lay out at all – but who cares, the bonus is the price! Yes indeed very cheap, you have your biscuits and sweet stuff, along with various vitamins and household goods, there is a selection of fresh vegetables, there’s also a range of tinned goods as well as breads.

Personally I think it wins me over on its frozen goods, wine and cheeses, of which there are plenty. Don’t forget your bags either or you’ll have to pay. Great for topping up the weekly shop, but couldn’t do a weekly shop solely there.

Very good and cheap products. (Recommended)

Pros Great store with great prices. Many people seem to turn away from these stores because they probably don’t recognise half of the brands that they sell. But give them a try and you won’t be disappointed and the savings you can make over the main shopping stores will be amazing.

Cons The only problem Aldi suffer from is that their stores are rather small and hence their ranges are somewhat limited.

Aldi (Recommended)

Pros Cheap quality food.
Store is presented nicely.
Can grab quite and few bargains.

Cons Prices seem to be rising.
Not many around.

Aldi Quality (Recommended)

Pros The food quality is great. The stores are usually clean and smell nice. It is basically a Waitrose without baskets.

Cons They keep increasing the prices, in my view, faster than any other retailer. You can still grab the occaisional bargain, but dont expect it to be any cheaper than ASDA and do not expect to wait in short q's.
