Spend a day in the war (Recommended)

Pros In one day you'd be more than lucky to cover all the information that's available in the Imperial War Museum.

There's cases and cases of information about the "great wars". Divided up into seperate seconds for WWI and WWII. I got the best out of the place because I happened to be visiting with a German friend at the time. 99% of the material you'll see is in English, but there's key things to see, such as statements hand-written by Hitler that you will miss if you can't understand German.

There's German newspapers alongside those of the British regarding the Blitz in London. There's also a Blitz experience where you sit in a room that is a mock of a small air-raid shelter the type that the public might duck into during the war.

Aside from WWI and WWII, there are exhibitions such as the Espionage exhibition that recants exploits of agents from the OSS, to the CIA, KGB, MI6 - pick your acronym and read up about it.

The front lobby is full of old war planes, tanks, bombs and shells and the likes.
One of the great things about this place... if I remember correctly... it's free. So pop in the gift shop and buy yourself a ruler on the way out to say thank you.

Cons None given.

Tanks and planes (Recommended)

Pros My favourite aspect of the War Museum is being able to look up close at tanks, planes and artillery from the two main wars, which make make a nice a worthwile spectacle. The musuem is hugely informative with interactive areas, many videos and recorded stories. There's more than enough for a whole day of learning and even enough for a second visit.

Cons None given.

Lots to see and its very interesting (Recommended)

Pros A big museum with lots of exhibits, you could spend certainly more than a day in here, I recommend taking your time and browsing slowly around to take in as much as possible.

Its remarkable to think that the exhibits on show here were part of life not so very long ago and its quite humbling to read about some of the events and exploits they have recorded.

Its a fantastic learning opportunity for children and adults alike and is absolutely worth a visit at least once.

Cons None!
